About me: Daniel .. Toronto, Canada – My Take On Everything – (MTOE Media)

Toronto, Canada - Born and lived all my life in Toronto. Just a regular working guy. Although when I was growing up, we use to go to Buffalo (about an hour drive down the highway) for the weekends but now people come here, for the weekends. I was born and lived here all my life, but we still complain, but we love it here, and don’t appreciate what we have until we travel somewhere else. If you have any questions about the city, don’t be afraid to ask, just click on comment under the header on each story next to the date of the entry and send me a reply/comment and I shall do my best to answer.

    Hey,
I noticed an article off one of your sites about bell fibe issues, and I wanted to see if you can give me some advice.
I was kinda forced to go on fibe, because they were changing things over in my area late july-august 2011. Now this wasn’t a problem cause I wasn’t charged for the hook up, even though a month previous they were asking me if I wanted it installed for 30$. So I got it switched over for free. But I found something big did change. My bandwidth jumped up by half with out really changing my internet habits. I went from 30 gigs a month, to almost my entire cap at 65 gigs.
I do use netflix, but I haven’t watched it anymore then I did previous to july, and I even dumbed down my play back settings to the lowest setting. I’ve been work’n from home for nearly a year, and I find it really crazy that my internet usage could jump that much from june to july.
It looks like that when I switched over to fibe, it some how effected my bandwidth usage. And I noticed you complained about it in a past articleso I was wondering if you got anywhere with bell? Or if you think there’s a connection between the weirdness of bandwidth consumption on fibe?
    Kelly
